Ticketed for parking upside down in a "No-upside-down-parking-anytime"-zone... I like the CVPI's scheme, but does make "...Sheriff's Police" that much sense? I've seen County Sheriff and County Police offices but no combination of both.
Nils: Sheriff's Police is common in North Illinois..And being as the game's default car for HomeTown says POLICE and HomeTown has a county dispatch they are technically Sheriff's Police so I figured I'd make a Sheriff'sPolice car for that track. SHeriff's Police can also just go by county police..All in all it's just a name thing as they're still sheriff's deputies..Look at Jacksonville, Florida..All cops there are Duvall County S.O. since the old Duvall County S.O. is no more, that's why Jacksonville police cars have SHERIFF and POLICE both on the car=Sheriff's Police..Also they can be 2 seperate entities altogether..Sometimes the county decides to seperate the courthouse security police (which are deputies) from regular county patrol..The vehicles marked county sheriff are reserved for court duty while the ones with county police or sheriff's police are strictly patrol cars and vehicles.
FerrariMan: It's Cook,Dupage,Lake,Winnebago,Kankakee, and Peoria County that have sheriff''s police and in Missouri it's St.Louis County,Floridia=MEtro-Dade Police Department and Jacksonville..Also something unique to Las Vegas, Nevada..Since the mid 1960's ALL Las Vegas (except North Las Vegas) is sheriff's police..Clark County S.O. merged with the city police to form the Metropolitan Police there..If you ask me the name sheriff's police is pointless as all are deputies in the same just diffrent duty..But some places decide to separate the court house deputies from the rest of them and term the patrol ones either County Police or Sheriff's Police..The county I live in does no such thing though also on a side note, Until recently King County Washington had a sheriff's police(King County Police) but have since just went to King County Sheriff and dropped the police from it. Here are more Illinois Sheriff's Police:
