Porsche 911 Targa Softwindow
Additional Screenshots
Description
When the 911 Targa was introduced, it originally featured a soft window to give more of a cabriolet feeling. This is a model-year accurate soft-window-targa. Enjoy.
This is kind of a showcase to show what you can do with usermade animations.
It replaces the original 901.crp and 901.tpg - So no savegame needed. The only thing you need to change is, set the cabriolet flag to 1 in your nfs5.car file using the NFS5 Carparts Editor for the '67 911 Targa (See screenshot). Otherwise this will not work correctly.
Editors used:
- CRP Inspector
- Scrap Studio
- imHex
-...
Installation: Place files in "Gamedata/Carmodel" folder & set cabriolet to "1" for the NFS5.car .
Known bugs: Culling of the B-Pillar is sometimes off, currently no damaged model for the roof.

Correct. From 1966-1969 the Targa had no glass rear window but a removable soft window. As NFS5 calles the Targa a 1967 model, this version is the correct one... although the 1969 onward version is much more beautiful. ;)
PS: Welcome back FreakDS!
What an interesting new nickname. I love it
