Description

Virtual Road Fix for the iconic NFS2SE track which has been converted by Ryan T with Vitaly Kootin's track converter tool which unfortunately doesn't seem to be ever released

Unfortunately, there's still some objects without collision due to the way our beloved game's engine is built up. But still, it's better than how it's been before.

So now, the AI is driving correctly (especially talking about the divided roads section here), objects have proper collision, you can drive where it seems as you could drive and don't face an invisible wall or things like that

Much thanks to Jonath who helps me all the time and for his awesome track fix tool which is still in development and to Jim who is continually updating T3ED which is saving so much time to us track modders. Also thanks to PomFrit for finding out all the important infos on how to make the AI behave properly

Credits goes to NFSF1McLaren for his awesome slides and vidwalls which i used (again) as presentational pictures here.

Original slide and vidwall is kept

PS: Replaces either Celtic Ruins or Durham Road.

PPS: I strongly recommend you to use the HS Mixer from Jim for potentially unwanted sound sources NOT to appear at specific locations and remaining all the time until the race ends

Finally 👍so the bots don't crash in the dividing wall?) Gonna check as soon as I'm home. Great work!

Thanks. Yep they won't crash nomore. Only cars with problematic carp.txt's which go beyond the limits for AI to recognise the braking points. And unfortunately, i had to slow down the backwards direction pretty hard, i don't know why they're behaving so weird, but i had to set braking points which limits them to about 170km/h at specific locations

Tried a night race, but it didn't load. "Invalid speed file in track".

I imported the track with the mixer over Durham road.

Tried V3 without the Virtual road fix and it gave the same problem.

It seems that you need to remove another TrN.frd which the HS Mixer has copied over for you. I didn't include a night version since there is none so you need to delete the TrN.frd

Works allrite with me, in both directions. Bots are visibly stronger. Gotcha tried to kill me with his F50 in AA class vs my F50.

@Pete9516: night race starts now but textures are all wrong. So I also deleted TRN0.qfs, now it works.

Yeah unfortunately, for some reason, the HS Mixer adds "missing" trN0.qfs and TrN.frd files. Which is not necessarily a good thing. Had to deal with that issue several times, too. But 1 can & has to live with the benefits from the HS Mixer
