===============UPDATE 24/08/2025=======================================
-Fixed the GTO not being properly centered
-Fixed UV Mapping and steering wheel issues with the Cadillac S62 and the F100
-Fixed the Cadillac S62 and Dodge Challenger unproper rear view in-dash mode
-Fixed the Cadillac, Challenger, Nova SS and F100's tires
-Fixed an issue where Challengers would spawn in the first race, as an issue of improper Serials between the F100 and Cadillac
-Fixed the Challenger having 4 extra pipes in the back and mismatched colors on Stage 3 Upgrades
-Fixed some broken polygons on the Bonus Camaro, as well as its name
-Fixed Stage 3 Nova SS not having damage -Fixed Nova SS and Bel Air's Stats
-Added the cascade option for dealership vehicles
-Removed duplicated music in favor for new songs (Slingshot, I Can Do It, Playground Peril, Easy Death Oven, Field of Screams)
-Removed and optimized some Menu related QFS files

===============SMALL UPDATE 21/08/2025=======================================

+Due to lack of Lamborghini Diablo, the game used to crash at one specific tournament,
to compensate, i fixed the issue and i added the 1969 Pontiac GTO "The Judge". Enjoy!

+Fixed car descriptions in showcase mode

+Fixed some unaligned text in Career mode

+Career mode has a better layout and background

+Nerfed all of the AI cars

+Reduced performance on all player vehicles (vanilla ones + improved handling)

+Removed the North Westbrook vidwall.

+Fixed some color issues on the Chevrolet Nova SS (Stage 3) and Bel Air (Stage 3)

+Fixed the Ford Mustang Boss 302 not having license plates on any stage

+Fixed the Ford Mustang Boss 302 slider in showcase mode

+Fixed the 1947 Cadillac not having proper damage

+Fixed some steering wheel issues with the Pontiac GTO and Chevrolet Bel Air

A little while ago, early this year, i started a very ambitious project: Transform NFS 4 High Stakes into Motor City

The reason? the lack of proper Muscle Car representation in Need for Speed left a bitter taste on me, so i just decided to get my hands dirty

and work on transforming NFS High Stakes into a screaming roaring V8 experience.

Now this mod has been collecting dust on my HDD, with university and my job both going on at the same time, as well as other life priorities, i have

no choice but to release it AS-IS. So, you might encounter a lot of:


-Missing slides on Showcase mode

-Unfinished tires, all being different from each other

-Tracks are still NFS4 / 3 ones

-Buggy sound when playing in Stereo mode (use Mono)

-Cop El Niño not replaced


There's a lot to do, and honestly i lack the time, probably on Summer i might retake the project and slowly fix it up.

Anyone is invited to implement fixes and send em on my way.

The game can be fully finished, played online and compatible with controllers / steering wheels

I do recommend however, setting the minimum dead zone to 65% on throttle and steering for controllers. Anything else works fine, even keyboard.

      Nope, opponents can still be chosen in the race settings mode. Under "Location"

    This would be perfect for those 1970's cop cars to go in. FrankNFurter's reworks of Baardk's and I also found a nice 1975 Chevy Impala 4 door to make some from.

    Finally installed it. Nice job, I like the rock&roll tunes and the echo on the 3-2-1 at race start. Engines sound great too. Nice menu's, there's even a new credits menu.

    Opponent menu is still there, sorry for my previous comments.

    The including of a Dodge Viper (bonus car) is not my taste.

    The handling of some AAA class cars is not nice, steering is to direct.

    I would like to see traffic cars from the same era.

    Edit: I didn't see the update, so my comments are about the initial one.

    I only don't understand 1 thing. Y apply the Veg patch onto those lolly polly cars with 2000 triangles max, a mystery 4 me.

      So higher poly player vehicles can be used, These low polys can be used for AI.
