It has a removable hard top. The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Roadster (R199) is a limited production grand tourer convertible produced jointly by McLaren Automotive and Mercedes-Benz, based on the Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR. It is the roadster version of the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. The roadster version's convertible roof is made of a "newly developed material" (as opposed to a folding metal arrangement) which is folded away electrically after a manual unlatching.

The SLR McLaren Roadster was only appeared in Asphalt 8 (which has an inaccurate model), Street Storm Racing & Legends (Formerly Asphalt 9 & Legends Unite). It also appears in Need For Speed Movie where it was first driven by Dino Brewster. It visits the Metro Station from Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) as 13th car after the 2026 Valkyrie, and it's most likely private as it was never be available
