Description

Hidden bonus track from NFS Hot Pursuit on PS1 and it's a rather silly one. This track takes place on a Hot Wheels style layout in a kids playroom. I've spent long enough time on this track and wanted to release it already, so I can move on with other stuff.

Features:

  • Replay cameras
  • Pushable objects
  • Rear mirror support (no crashes on my end, but leave it off just to be safe)

Issues:

  • The perspective will look odd between the tables and skybox

Have fun!

A very faithful conversion. Even the bots are challenging. The type 6 objects are beautifully implemented.

Excellent job as always, Doc! ;)

Question: How are you able to convert the PSX tracks so perfectly?

I simply use TRK2Blender. In Blender I slice the track in smaller pieces to convert into off files. Then I import them in T3ED and use the merge tool to get each point in the exact right place, deleting the imported object afterwards.

      In short, it's a looong process.  ;)

That is quite a process, very painstaking. Very impressive!

I truly appreciate the hard work you put in with your tracks. This and Scorpio-7 are my top favorites right now.

Cool stuff. I didn't knew it. Had to think of Revolt immediately.

I'm glad Off import is useful for someone

Nice work on this NFS3 bonus track! It looks like a perfect rendition of the PSX original.

I myself never liked these hidden tracks as they are all made with sooo little love... dull and boring with much too little variation and eyecandy so I hardly played on them and I probably won´t in the future... But that should not detract from your hard work at all. Congratulations!

...But it makes me think if it could be possible to convert the tracks from the PSX version of NFS5 Porsche unleashed as well... :hmm: ... These tracks were amazing.

Nice, it has the eighties all over it. You feel like a little kid whit your toys and a racetrack in your bedroom (big walloutlets) Did anyone try the night version?, there's different roadtexture.

Delete the "Trn0.qfs" (night time texture) file from the installed track's directory. The night version show display correctly now. ;)

Yeah, the only difference with the night version is the type 6 objects. I had to lower the shading values because they were glowing in the dark.  :hmm:

This is actually a electric Slot race track, I used to have a few sets like this as a kid, Police car vs some other vehicle, In a few the Police cars even had sirens and LED blinking lightbars..I really wish I'd have preserved these growing up .

:laughcry:Actually my FIRST ever Police car (and many other firsts) didn't light up at all. The very first one I got (still have it) In later years when I started detailing my collection to look like REAL vehicles I detailed it, It's made of clunky pressed steel but a nice model.

The decals have Yellowed with age but are intact, Buddy L Oldsmobile Coupe Police (1981) Predates my existence by 1 year..Dad got it for me when I was about 4 or so I believe at the long gone Toy Liquidizers in the dying now West Frankfort Factory Outlet Mall. Mall is still there buildingwise but only has maybe 3 stores in it and sadly none are toy stores, Mostly clothing and some girly stores.
