Thank you for purchasing The Need for Speed. Enclosed is a patch disk that should fix any problems that you may have with the CD-Rom Seek error on NFS PCCD.

Please follow the install instructions below to install the patch to NFS.

1. If you have installed the NFS game, delete the directory from your hard drive.
A. To do this, from the drive where you installed the game (probably C:)
Type: DELTREE NFS [ENTER]--Answer YES to delete directory and all contents.

2. Install NFS onto your hard drive.
3. After installing NFS onto your hard drive, insert the NFS patch disk into drive A:.
A. After inserting the disk into drive A:, type: A: [ENTER]
B. At the A: type: COPY A:TNFS.EXE C:NFS [ENTER]
C. You will then be asked to OVERWRITE. Answer Y [ENTER].

4. You are now ready to play The Need for Speed.
Type NFS at the C:NFS prompt to start the game.
