The "Complete Edition" is a mod for the PSX release of Need for Speed: High Stakes, including cars from the Australian and Japanese versions of the game, and having new additional content.

- Check out the Readme and Install .txt for more detailed information.

- This mod must be installed on the American NTSC version of the game (SLUS-00826). The mod is also playable on the original PlayStation hardware.

- The main career structure and difficulty of the original tournaments of the game are kept unchanged.

:: Pennzoil Nissan Skyline GT-R (currently available as a cheat code only, replaces the Race-Bred Corvette)

- Unlocked previously unavailable colors for the vehicles below:

:: BMW Z3 Roadster 2.8, Chevrolet Camaro Z28, Pontiac Firebird, Chevrolet Corvette, Ferrari 550 Maranello, Ferrari F50, Lamborghini Diablo SV, Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR and McLaren F1 GTR.

- Added new tournament events in the Special Events mode:

:: Modern Muscle Cup: 2nd class muscle car event. Available after completing the "Regional Club Circuit", it unlocks the MHRT VT Commodore.

:: Godzilla Tournament: event exclusive for Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec. Available after completing the "Grand Touring Competition".

:: Tournament of Champions: Event exclusive for the bonus cars. Available after completing the "Endurance Racing Competition", unlocks the upgraded Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR.

:: High Stakes Challenge: Event for GT Racing vehicles. Available after completing the "Tournament of Champions" above.

- Added a new opponent option to the main Tournament menu: "Hot Pursuit". It is available as the third option in the "Opponent" settings on the car selection menu before the tournament begins.

:: If this mode is enabled, races will feature 4 racers and 4 police cars. The cops can stop or arrest the player, and also deploy roadblocks and spike strips. Getting arrested during the race results in a loss of the current track with 0 points.

:: Completing the event will give you 50% additional cash reward for completing the track. The final tournament reward or the "safe driving" bonuses remain unchanged.

:: Hot Pursuit mode can be enabled only before the start of the Tournament event, and as per usual, the player pays for their car repairs.

- Updates to additional hidden game localizations. Cheat codes are required to switch languages.

:: French: minimal tweaks for mod compatibility, inaccuracies in tournament descriptions can be expected.

:: German: partial mod support (translation by Wieimmer).

:: Italian: minimal tweaks for mod compatibility, inaccuracies in tournament descriptions can be expected.

:: Spanish: full mod support (translation by Zipper).

:: Swedish: minimal tweaks for mod compatibility, inaccuracies in tournament descriptions can be expected.

:: Russian: done from scratch, based on the game translation by ViT Co. Some issues with translation have been fixed, and the text accuracy has been refined. Some text during the races is still not translated due to various limitations.

- "Upgraded Opponents" feature for main tournaments is now unlocked from beginning, so you can increase the AI difficulty whenever you please;

:: Without it enabled, the bots will not use any upgrades even if you installed them on your vehicle of choice.

- A lot of fixes to the model and textures of the Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec;

:: The showcase section for the Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec has been fully translated into English, including the voiceover.

- Various fixes and improvements to vehicle textures:

:: The tachometer textures for the MHRT VT Commodore have been updated to display the full RPM range - a bug derived from the Australian release;

:: New wheel rim textures for the Lamborghini Diablo SV;

:: Fixed the flipped "M5" badge on the BMW M5, as well as the flipped brand badge on the front bumper of the Ferrari 550 Maranello;

:: Hidden red-and-blue backgrounds in the menu (VidWalls) for police cars are now used;

:: The BMW M5 and BMW Z3 Roadster 2.8 now have their wheel colors altered when upgrades are installed, just like on other cars. The Z3 wheel texture has been slightly edited to look a bit better with the color changes.

- Hot Pursuit mode updates:

:: Ferrari, Mercedes-Benz, and Nissan vehicles are now completely available in Hot Pursuit mode;

:: Full Hot Pursuit mode support has been added for the Raceway tracks;

:: When playing as a cop, suspect drivers now use the vehicles that were previously unavailable to them;

- Main Menu changes:

:: The hidden "Demo" movie in the Main Menu now plays alongside the other two movies.

:: The Main Menu now displays slides featuring cars from the regional releases: two for the Holden HSV VT GTS and one of each for the Ford Falcon XR8 and the Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec.

:: An indicator showing the number of owned cars in the garage has been added, it is displayed in the "Sell a Car" menu.

:: The Trophy Room screen has been reworked to display the new tournament events of the mod and it allows for a proper switching between them;

- Added the option to enable traffic during Single Race events with full grid opponents;

- Opponents in tournament events and in Single Race mode now use vehicles that were previously unavailable to them;

- Bonus reward cars now also unlocked and added to the Car Dealership, as well Test Drive and Hot Pursuit modes;

- Prices for the Titan and the Phantom were slightly increased, from $100,000 to $150,000;

- The game image with the mod is compatible with the vast majority of cheat codes for the American NTSC release.
