  Yep. That is why you'll have ti install the extra sfx.fsh if you want the effect to work. Otherwise the car'll be spraying water. :)

  what exactly do you do to get the fire effect because I can't do it I suck at things like this

  It's simple, actually: You take the file called sfx.fsh that is included in the ZIP and extract it into your Need For Speed High Stakes/Data/Gameart directory, overwriting the original file (make a backup of the original sfx.sfh first) and that's all.
  
  First I had written that you'd need NFSwizard, but that was a mistake on my part; I've corrected the text now.
  
  Oh, and if you drive in the rain, all the cars will now spray fire from their wheels too. :D

  Yes, I'm sure... (it says so in the readme, btw) are you sure you have the special effects enabled in the NFS4 graphic settings?
