If Average-Joe-computers had been faster and better back in 1999 this is what NFS4 could have been in the result. I really don´t think that the NFS3-NFS4 engine is weak at all... it´s simple - yes... but you can really make it shine even today when you know how to work with it and all of it´s limitations.
