The NFS.onl Software is a package of tools and mods for competitive Need for Speed: Underground players, consisting of the following components:

Netplay Launcher & Lap Recorder (aka kickStart) by Redhair

Provides public and custom game server list with bookmarks and users online notifier functions.
Has evolved into a tool for power users.

Offers a GUI to:

• install essential .asi plugins with a single click
• configure Widescreen Fix options
• add or remove Windows Firewall rules, with additional information
• manage UDP port forwardings via UPnP with UPnP Wizard by XL Development + testing
• manage game servers and public list providers, favorites, visual and/or audio notifications
• configure Server Changer and soundtrack (EATrax)
• configure graphics API: Native (DX9), dgVoodoo2 (DX11/12, Windows), or DXVK [Async] (Vulkan)
• create in-game profiles, import savegames, and change uniques (TJs) on the fly
• configure the Lap Recorder with overlay and all its options
• view your Hot Lap results, download and browse the online database, and upload to NFS.onl
• set up voice commentary (best lap and record), and internet radio player

Collision Disabler & Online Menus Adjustments (aka CMP) by Jericho

Handles car collisions, disabling them when playing online (ghost mode), enabling when playing offline.
Includes an in-game toggle at server login, shows extra info, and skips unnecessary registration parts.

In short: makes life easier for competitive players. You can focus on racing.

Lap Recorder plugin by Redhair

Extends the game further (all optional):

• controllers can be identified as a wheel, disabling steer smoothing (DS possible)
• enhanced HUD with FPS and Lap Info replacement, counting up to 127 laps, and retains the best time when restarting Sprint races
• real-time timer (RTA) display in all Quick Race modes
• Free Run session stats, average speed, odometer, etc.
• Delta display: cumulative (movable) + sector-based
• sum of best segments (no NOS) in Free Run mode
• mouse can move outside the game (multi-screen support)
• customizable pointer and input overlay
