The Silver Arrow (also known as Silver Lightning) was designed by Mercedes-Benz Advanced Design California, the studio behind the 2010 Mercedes-Benz Biome concept car, as part of the 2011 LA Auto Show Design Challenge under the theme "Hollywood's Hottest New Movie Car". A static full-size concept of the car was also displayed.

As a futuristic concept car taking design cues from the Mercedes-Benz W125 in the 1930s and the SLR Uhlenhaut in the 1950s, it was created to celebrate 125 years of automotive innovation and design excellence. The concept features hubless, omni-directional Mecanum wheels inside of hoops, allowing the car to steer without turning wheels, and a convertible roof that consists of magnetic tiles named "Mag-Tech".

As part of the design challenge, it was accompanied by a short and hypothetical film, "Silver Lightning". This film's plot is set "in the not too distant future" where "a high-tech metropolis thrives on transportation", about two conscious crash test dummies, Hans05 and Franz02 "recognizing a potential catastrophe and decide to take matters into their own hands" against Dr. Crash-Barrier, the main antagonist.

The Silver Lightning only appears in ACE Racer, Asphalt 8, Nitro & Legends. It visits the HD version of MW 2005 Menu Garage for the first time, available in NFSAddons. There will be more to come for HD Menu garage in the near future, and it will be planned for release in a later date, once I figure out to make its wheels functional
