About This Mod

Introducing Shifted: Evolution, a mod project that merges NFS: Shift and Shift 2 Unleashed elements into NFS: ProStreet, offering a whole new way to enjoy the game while retaining its original vanilla feel. This mod will rework the customization system, user interface, car customization parts, frontend models, along with graphical tweaks, new presets & new cars. For handling, you’ll have the option to keep the vanilla handling or switch to our new handling system, ensuring both veteran ProStreet players and newcomers can enjoy the experience.

Mod Feature

Reworked Customization System

We’ve introduced a brand new customization system! You can now upgrade your car with aftermarket parts including hoods, body kits, wheels, spoilers, cockpits, steering wheels, driver seats, and passenger seats, bringing it closer to the style of Shift series customization. Also, autosculpt has been removed (except for rims), making way for a wider variety of aftermarket parts. Even though it could be done without disabling Autosculpt, it felt odd to pick an aftermarket part and see an empty Autosculpt option.

Reworked Car List

Since we reworked the customization system, every car needs to be updated to match the Shifted: Evolution standard. Each car will receive a new set of aftermarket parts, including body kits, hoods, spoilers, and cockpits.

Dark Mode UI

We’ve reworked the vanilla ProStreet interface and given it a dark mode look, bringing it closer to the style of Shift 2: Unleashed.

Car Specific Tachometer

Shift 2: Unleashed introduced car specific tachometers, and we’ve brought that feature into Shifted: Evolution as well.

New Rival Presets

We’ve also included a new rival preset for those who want a fresh experience. This feature is completely optional.

Development Plan

Since the vanilla ProStreet car list is huge, development will be divided into phases. The first phase will focus on completing the base game and releasing it. After that, the team will move on to adding new content in later phases. No exact release date is set.
