New HP2 editing tools out!

- General NFS, High Stakes
It's been known for a few days, but because it's pretty important news for the NFS Editing scene, I thought it best to mention it here as soon as I had the opportunity to: earlier this week, on Monday 21st, Arushan released OIFTool, a program that lets you convert the 3d format that is being used in NFS HP2 (.o files) into .oif files, that are editable via a Zmodeler plugin. This means that conversions from HP2 to NFS4 are now possible (a few of those have already been released), and it also opens the door for importing scratch-made cars into NFS HP2. Who knows what this means for a game that was ignored by a large part of the editing community? :)
You can download the program and read more information on the Official OEdit Site.

Seriously, this may make me want to play NFS HP2 again after not touching it for months. Plus HP2 offers a lot more possibilities for realistic performance files than High Stakes.
The editor Viper_GTS has already released the first scratch-made car for NFS HP2, a Honda CRX Del Sol (I haven't tried it out myself)
I'm sure this is going to boost the game's moral. If this never happened, the game wouldn't be worth anything to me. I'll do a section devoted to BMW's on my site - yeah man ;)
A pity that you have to overwrite existing cars though (and I want a proper replay mode, dang it!)
And here is my first convrted car:
