General NFS, High Stakes

Hang tight guys, I'll have some updates for you guys soon. I know I haven't been around much, but computer problems/work etc have been piling up. Recently had a virus on the home computer, but luckily took care of it before it did too much damage (did eat up a lot of my HD space though, I was wondering why I had so little left, hehe). Look for some new stuff coming in the next few days :)

With all the new cars and screenshots one would think that the NFS community is alive and kickin, but I guess not cause there ain't been any comments here is a while. Well, 'cept this one. Oh, btw, I was playin getaway on Hometown in a Murcielago and was at 18 or so min before i was caught. rearended a truck at a roadblock

One of the plans is to add a new info box that will show how many polys a car has - as was suggested a couple of weeks ago. Makes it easier to judge if a car will affect your framerate or not. ;)

Does anyone know if it is possible to remove some of the EA cars without the game crashing? I just removed a car and the game crashed, put it back, and it worked.

you can replace the cars but u can't remove the folder itself

If you ever played career mode with a car and you remove it, then the game will crash the next time you start it up... the only solutions I know, is to either put that particular car back, or delete what is in your Savedata/DB folder.

Otherwise, you can remove all standard EA cars except for the 'Knoc' folder. I also keep the original pursuit cars to be safe...

When I play HP2, it's so dark half of the time I can't see where I am going. How do I change that??

I just did not know this guy was ever involved with Need for Speed editing...

@morrisdb: I agree that some tunnels in NFS6 are impossibly dark, all I can suggest is to change the 'brightness'in the NFS6 Graphics options.
