US NFS6 Demo OUT!

Well, dye my shorts pink and call me a pantywaist, the NFS6 demo is here after all... the US one, that is. The file is 92 mb big.

I just read the announcement at NFSCheats, and at the moment of writing, the demo can be found at:

www.Fileshack.com - you'll need to register to get it from this loaction, but it's free, and only takes a minute.

DPK will probably have the Demo mirrored on the Racerplanet server pretty soon, I'll update this post with the link as soon as it's there.

This last one feels quite fast, although this varies of course, depending on your location.

German users can now get the demo at publish.electronic-arts.de.
And it's available on Gamespot and Fileplanet too, if you have the accounts for them. :) (well, it could happen)
The official NFS HP2 site has been updated with the links to the demo as well, so that makes it all official. :)

Despite a few bugs (choosing manual transmission has no effect; it still uses automatic, and my system freezes when quitting the game) it's pretty fun. Although I would not buy the game based on this demo.

I don't have those problems(although I don't use standard), but I don't like the handling. It's a mix of HS and Gran Turismo. I never was good at GT and with HP2 I keep finding my self spining out when I try and do fancy turns.:(

Well,first impressions:THE ENGINE SOUNDS SUCK!!!Then when the AI is a lot faster.You have to brake into turns,but I never found my way to brake at the good place to take the turn w/o loosing too much speed.EA could have done beter.The car still have toooooooooo much roll.

wery good game...it haves amzing well done physics engine...and cars sound like real ones...

could i say that game is driving simulator, like a gran turismo 3...

if you are playd GT3, then you doesnt have problems to handle cars in NFS6...

That was a good idea Jokinen,but don't you think they still use too much texture?Also,I don't think the 911 taillights texture looks realistic.The RUF in GT3 is slightly better.Anyway still a good game.I like the mods you can do with the ini :)

ah...NFS6 car models seems to use texture maps only for interior/and other small details....

but body model uses diffuse colors, so its pretty easy to do "metallic" colors for cars...

...finally i can do good cars for nfs...

and my new 1969 charger dayton would be geed car for NFS6...

Hey, guys, the aussie demo is out now too. There is a 15-minute download time for all of you cable users.It too is 92.3MBs.
