SOTD: no TGA's please!

It's great that people are still sending us new SOTD's (Screen Of The Day), but please, send them in .jpg format ONLY. We thought that that would have been obvious from the start, but judging from the number of screenshots in .tga format we received, this wasn't the case. The trouble with TGA's is that the SOTD script cannot process those. Mike has updated the Submit Your Screenshot page with a reminder of the required format.
I'll convert the .tga's we got myself and re-upload them, but please send only Jpegs from now on. ;) Thanks.
If you do not have a graphics program that can convert your screenshots into .jpg format, go to http://www.irfanview.com/ and get Irfanview (800kb), a 100% free image viewer and editor.

tga's would be better than jpg's...

They may be better quality, but there's no way of course, that we can post fullsize .tga files (most are 1,5 mb big) on the site here.
Besides, with a program like JPeg Optimizer from Link (free), you can convert & compress Jpegs exactly as much or as little as you want. Especially useful if your Jpegs have a lot of red in them, the program's got a spcial button to 'enhance' that. I recommend it to everyone.

A few browsers have problems with .png (Unless it was just my computer at the time). JPG and GIF are the "standards" so I'll continue to use those. I'll do some testing with .png though.
