We're back!

Welcome back to NFSGarage.

Well, incase you didn't already know, our old server had a massive hard drive failure, which caused us to lose everything on it ("us" being NFSGarage, and the entire Racerplanet.com network). Unfortunately, we also lost the database, which had all the info for the cars (caname, author, downloads etc..). So essentially we are starting from scratch. 2+ years worth of adding cars gone, just like that. The upside to this? Well we are on a new, faster server. It's more than twice as fast as the old one, and Josh (jtace) and I have been tweaking it to fit our needs over the past few weeks.

So Jeff (BMWsport) and I will be adding cars like crazy (well... maybe not like crazy, but we'll be adding a bunch) to try and get back to the top of the NFS sites. It's going to take a while, obviously, because we've got about 850 cars to re-add. There are some section of the site that are still down until further notice, like the projects section, and the User-Uploads section, but they should be back up soon. I just need to re-edit the scripts to work on the new server.

You will also have to re-register to post comments etc, which I see a number of you have already done ;-).

Sorry for the delay in getting everything going again. The server crash picked a really bad time to happen (not that there's ever a good time, though). So enjoy downloading the 4 or so cars we've got up right now, and if you see any errors, report them to me at mike@racerplanet.com.
