I know I'm a bit late with this newsbit, since EA already announced this at their own site on September 20th, but in case you missed it: NFS 6 (or NFS: HP2 as it's officially called) has gone 'gold' for all the console versions (Xbox, PS2 and GameCube) and will be released October 1st. PC owners will have to wait another 3 weeks until Oct. 21st to get their hands on it. We've waited this long, a few more days won't hurt, I suppose. Official EA Newspost.

Gamespot has that same story, illustrated with a few new screens here.

Meanwhile, on the official EA NFS6 orums, EA representative Mmedina932 has been answering some questions about the new game, concerning some gameplay details, AND the possibility of editing... he's not really clear in this, but while he doesn't rule it out completely, he also states that EA doesn't intend to provide support or development tools for modding. Here is that particular thread. To be continued, I guess.

hey Mike/ any staff:
I have some stuff that could go in the 'Files' section-do you want it?? It's just stuff that's been here before-you might have some yourself. I just noticed there's not much in there. Some of it might be outdated, though.

Btw, the auto-redirect still isn't implemented for when you post comments. Just to let you know.

Heh, I wasn't around yesterday. Thanks for pointing out the auto-redirect thing.
About the files; could you mail me perhaps what the files are that you have? Could be the same ones I'm planning to add myself, I just have to find the time to do it. Thanks for the trouble.
