Sorry for the lack of updates

I think I should apologize for the lack of updates in the past week. Mike has been very busy with moving all Racerplanet hosted sites (and there's quite a lot of them) over to the new server - good work, Mike! And I had very little free time in that same period. Plus the fact that there were connection troubles that kept me from doing much in the way of updating. These connection issues probably made it hard for our visitors to view the site too, so again, our apologies for the inconvenience.
Everything seems to be allright now, thankfully, so expect the updates to be back on their normal schedule very soon. ;)

Hey remko I got an email from you and the subject was; re:lets be friends, but I never sent you an email like that????

I'm certain I've never sent you an email like that... Did it come from r.vanreijsen@chello.nl?
This is weird, I thought I had a good virus scanner going. Anyones else had this?

it's the KlezH@mm virus - all it does is send itself out, from you, to everybody on your contacts / email lists.

i still receive at least 13 per day, and some do get sent out with my email addy on it, but it's not from me.

OK anybody that recieves any mysterious subjected emails should be careful!!! This is a very annoying virus(Klez B worm)that slipped through my virus scanner and fried some of my email programs such as Outlook Express, so everyone be careful. I have recieved many of these emails from all over so the virus is quite common!

Sorry to hear about your troubles, slimjim. The thing with this virus is that not only does it raid your Address Book, but it also searches your ICQ database, and any .txt or .html it can find for e-mail addresses.
RemkoAdmin24 years ago
It often goes something like this: 'A.' has a PC that has become infected with Klez; on A.'s PC, it looks for addresses, then it finds 'B.'s address, then it adds that addy in the "From: B." line in an infected email, and sends that to 'C.'.
C. calls B. and says: you sent me an infected mail. And B. scans his system, but can't find anything.

Every publisher of Anti-Virus software probably has info on the virus, and instructions or tools to remove it on his site... I got this from:

Link

Like it says on that page, the Virus is sometimes sent, disguised as an anti-Klez tool. Sneaky.
