General NFS, High Stakes

The guys over at ND4SPDWorld recently have gotten their hands on an alpha stage copy of NFS HP2 (PS2), and have been capturing movies and screenshots like crazy. They have four movies avavilabe for download already, and plan to release new ones on a daily basis during the rest of the week. Go and have a look to see some unique NFS6 action, each clip so far has been worth the download. And keep checking back for updates. ;)

"The movie shows the helicopter dropping barrels which explode while driving in to them, you can also see a cop car using the nitro boost shorty after i ran in to the barrel."

This game is not gonna be as good as I thought it would be

NOS on cops?!?! WTF is wrong with EA!
and police helicopters dropping barrels is dumb!

hehe, but it is kind of funny though. and that might make it more challenging

yeah, it sounded a bit too 'Carmageddon' to me at first too.
Actually, I don't mind a bit more excitement in HP mode. ;)

NOS??? IN the Need for Speed? If any of the non-pursuit cars in the game have NOS, I will never buy it, or support NFS6. I hope this does not turn out to be like Interstate '82 ( the sequel to Interstate '76 ).

I think it's only the pursuit cars. There'll be two kinds of playing modes though: Classic and extreme.
You'll be able to read more about that in the Gamespot preview I'm going to post next.

Is it me or does the game's showroom look very much like the one from Gran Turismo?
