Combining the thrill of illicit street racing and tuner customization with the intensity of strategic police pursuits that rivals any Hollywood-style chase scene, Need for Speed Most Wanted challenges players to become the most notorious and elusive street racer.
"Out-race your opponents, evade cops and exploit the open world in Need for Speed Most Wanted; street racing doesn't get any better than this," said Larry LaPierre, senior producer, EA Canada. "Players instantly will feel the thrill of the ride as they hit the streets in an open world environment where drivers can tune their cars to compete against any class of vehicles or use their wits to out-fox the law to satisfy their need for speed."
Need for Speed Most Wanted delivers a unique, fast-paced and gripping ride in the racing genre as players build up their Rap Sheet and street cred to move their way up the Black List to become the most wanted racer on the streets. Players will go head-to-head with the top drivers on the scene as well as strategically evade more than half dozen cops at any one time. Add in a dynamic open world, new gameplay and customization as well as tuners, supercars, muscles and sports cars and Need for Speed Most Wanted will be on every gamer's "must-have" list.
Developed in Vancouver, B.C. by EA Canada, Need for Speed Most Wanted will be available for a next generation console as well as the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system, Xbox videogame system from Microsoft, Nintendo GameCube, Nintendo DS, Game Boy Advance, PSP handheld entertainment system and PC.
This story has appeared on both Worthplaying and Voodoo Extreme, although the latter describes the info as "leaked". The story's illustrated with what looks like concept art.
Not a lot of concrete information, yet, hopefully we'll hear more as the E3 gets closer.

Promoting street racing - yeah, let's see how many of you besides me have lost a friend because they have made a stupid choice. Wonder why I hate it, and these types so much?
EA is sending the wrong message...really.
Also I cant Play NFS 4 HS anymore its to much Errors, with my Old Pc So i Give up on it,heh Cya yea...

I too was ready to believe MW would be a return to Classic NFS, but from this press announcement I get the idea that EA hasn't said goodbye to UG's style just yet.

Toca Race Driver II Game is Great also ;} I dont have that Full Ver yet :( I want it so Bad. Anyways.. NFS`MW Sounds Great so far. Cheers Mates.
All classes and all of the NA tracks that the ALMS runs on, including Circuit de La Sarthe, home of the 24 Hours in LeMans France.
do you own Toca Race Driver II game at all? I Cant Find it in any stores :( heh ;)
I dont' have it - never tried it - I really dig Project Gotham 2 - because it has the Nurburgring -- the full course.
Sports Car GT Game that EA made in 1999 has the Sebring Track on it and October Fest day also so i thought that was Groovy PaL. But Toca R D. II Looks so much better sence it was made in 2004 its sold out allready Insane. It comes on DVD Format install i dont have a dvd player eek. I need to get one LoL Cya Friend
