After waiting 7 hours to download the 93MB NFS HP2, I doubt that this will be worth it. I wish I lived where high speed was a possibility but watcha gonna do?
I also wish that EA would trim down some of the fat on there demo downloads, I swear that half the stuff on NFS HP2 was unnecessary.

I bet NFS 7 itself is unnecessary.

I have played the demo, I must say that, compared to HP2, this felt at least a lot more optimized. It ran a lot better on my avarage system than HP2 ever did, patched and all. It doesn't feel like a rush job.
The demo only lets you choose one car though, and I wish we could have flt the difference betwen a stock and a highly tuned car.

Some people have complained that the game felt too arcadey (it never claimed to be a hardcore sim), but I think that's partly because you only get a completely tricked out car to drive.
If the NFS PU demo would have let you drive a completely upgraded and tweaked 911 turbo, I bet it would have felt 'unrealistic' too.

The demo has been mentioned on the official NFSU page now, including links to mostly the same sources from tuesday; I suppose this means this is not an 'australian' demo.

All I was trying to say is you get, 1 car choice, 1 track choice, but probably every music choice and theme song, intros galore to EA via movies, Not forgetting credits and different languages, plus stuff you won't ever see in the demo, that are part of the real game but never used in the demo! All at the Whopping cost of 220MB????AARRGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
Cut back on the useless stuff and let more people try the game!!!! It's just a demo not a legaly binding contractual obligation!

Sorry everybody I just lose it when confronted with huge demo sizes that I really wanted to try out!

LOL, I'm like one of the very few people that don't even want to download the demo or even buy the full verion once it is avalible.

I understand Sniper, I wouldn't want to download 220 mb via 56k either... let's hope it 'll be on a cover cd soon.
I can't really explain why this demo is almost 2 1/2 times the size of HP2... (there's only one music track, but I personally liked it better than the song that came with HP2)

I think it's the Track's Size and Detail that make's the DL so Large,with the Cars parts, maybe bigger texture's?

Still, even though I haven't downloaded it yet, I noticed on screenshots that if you're in your car, at night, in the rain - the buildings, streetlights, telephone poles, lights will all reflect off the ground - EXCEPT your car. is it fixed?

hope EA loses their asses on this game. a lot will buy it - but not nearly as many would if they had updated NFS4 with better physics, and higher speed tracks - what could be better.

jeff: yeah, the cars do reflect in the street - it's a graphic option that you can turn off or on to improve performance.
