Although I haven't been able to keep you updated at this particular site, you will no doubt have noticed from the other sites that over the past weeks, the Australian NFS site has twice announced the release of NFS:Underground demo with a 'countdown clock', and both times it turned out to be bogus. Such was the outcry of the community the second time, that EA Rep Jon has posted a reaction at the official NFSU forums to apologize and explain a little. For now, it's not possible to give an exact release, and the Australian site has removed the clock, and simply put up an 'Early November' indication. Keep watching this space, I suppose.

Okay, and now that particular thread has been pulled from the NFSU forum, so the link leads nowhere. Beats me why they'd do that...

( oh yeah - JEFF RULES! )

You know what they say, Jeff... it ain't fascism if the right people are in charge.
;)

Well, I've read a bit more on the NFSU boards and I think what happened with Jon aka EAcomSmoothie's message, is that it has been 'merged' with an older thread, that was also started by him back in September, titled 'Community Introductions'.

...If you scroll down this page, you will come across one very long post by Jon/Smoothie, where, apart from asnwering questions, he states what he earlier wrote as an explanation/apology:

Hm, I notice the link above automatically re-directs to the first page of that thread, the post I'm referring to can be found on page 5 (look for the numbers 101-125 at the bottom of the page)

Say what it's all about. I don't like the way NFS series is changing. One cannot take a racing game seriously whe it comes w/out dashboards. Too much arcade is harming, too. This must be said!
