Just a little bit more news, this one is pretty cool. They were speculating about it when Josh and I talked to them last week, but it's now official:

"It's just been made official. NFSU will allow for PC to PS2 play.
Basically this means you'll be able to compete online regardless of platform. "

So when you're online racing, you could be racing someone that's playing on a PS2... pretty cool if you ask me :)

This has to be a first for ANY game, if you ask me. I wonder if it will make a lot of difference, PS2 audience and PC audience.

best feature of the game. still won't buy it :)

but you can't see or race with modded cars for PS2...

It will be possibel to race modded cars on line. All versions will use the same cars and parts. I still won't by the game either. What I am really waiting for is GT4. :D

Jeff: Yeah, you'll be able to see the same cars you're racing.. modded or stock :)

no...what I mean is that if you make your own car for the PC version ( let's say you put a bmw in there (because there are none) the PS2 version doesn't have the BMW, so it can't see you when racing...

I would guess that if someone does manage to crack the game and put user made cars in it the game probably won't allow them to be used online.

Ahh, I see what you mean... not sure actually... cause if it allows you to see all the body modifications on your car, maybe somehow the .viv or .XXXXX file is uploaded to the server when you connect?

sounds good but i'll bet it won't be half as good motor city on line :(
