Description

Modern CPU Fix (PowerShell Script)

Description:

This PowerShell script allows Need for Speed World (offline servers) to run properly on modern multi-core CPUs.

During game startup, it temporarily limits the game to fewer CPU cores to prevent freezing or crashing. After a set delay (default: 60 seconds), the script automatically restores access to all CPU cores for normal gameplay.

Key Features:

- Automatic CPU affinity change;

- Restore full performance after delay time;

- Changing some settings in the script.

Installation:

1. Download the mod files.

2. Extract nfsw.ps1 file to any place on your PC.

3. Run it with PowerShell.

4. Now run your offline server with game.

5. Enjoy the mod!

Note 1: This only for modern CPU with many cores, that crash the game!

Note 2: This is only for OFFLINE servers!

Note 3: The game some time after start can lag, but after delay time FPS will be okay.

Note 4: You can edit the script (for ex. delay time).

Note 5: You can create .bat script to run offline server with this mod.

      It depends on whether you're online or offline. Only if you're running an offline server using NFSW files from SBRW, then yes. It's useless for online mode; the game runs perfectly without the script.

    A simpler solution is to use a .txt file and write the following in
    it:
    start /affinity FF SBRW.exe
    Rename this file CPUAffinity.cmd and place it in your offline server
    folder next to the offline server file named SBRW.exe.
    Create a shortcut to the CPUAffinity.cmd file on your desktop,
    assign it an icon (for example, speed.exe), and launch your server
    from there. This will work perfectly.
