All hail the Coffin Nose Cord! This is my oldest car yet, 64 years!
but it's a car that had futuristic features like pop-up headlights,
front wheel drive, and one of the first to get rid of the grille
so common at the time.
This is the sedan version with "Westchester" package; perhaps the
most representative of all Cords (One could choose configurations of
4 or 2 seats; in coupe, sedan, and even convertible versions)
Too bad the cars weren't properly developed. The multiple
reliability problems asociated with a rushed production killed a
wondeful car, driving the last nail into the coffin of its parent
company, Auburn Automobile Co.
This is a B-class car. The performance is a bit exaggerated for a car
of its age, and doesn't exactly reflect a front-wheel-drive type handling
to the max; but what the heck, NFS4 is not front-drive friendly.
With thanks to Matej Mozcis for the versatile Tatra base car.
