Description

1974 Citroën CX 2200 with multiple Pursuit textures (as a PBMW replacement for European tracks) and realistic performance.

The zip file also contains a plain racer car.viv, unzip that to a folder called 'CX74'

The Car.viv (of the Pursuit car) also contains additional textures of the French 'Gendarmerie' (Gend.tga) as well as a different version of that with modern yellow/white license plates (Gend2.tga). If you rather want to use these on French tracks rename Fran.tga to Franold.tga and rename either Gend.tga or Gend2.tga to Fran.tga - that's it!

Original author: COSMO (see original_readme.txt)

The car should run fine (with default traffic cars, options etc.) also without the VEG patch (Modern NFS patch) being installed to your system.

Very nice, I wonder if the polizei in Saarland really did use these given the region's French history and their love of French cars there.

They used to have Peugeots (and also Renaults I guess?), but not the Ciroen CX, it is completely fictional, such is the 'Americanized' Car00 and the UK livery :o

But yes, Saarland is being considered as very 'francophile' :D
They also love good food .. 'Gudd gess ..' they say in their regional dialect which means you had eaten very well ;)
As I grew up near the Saarland I can tell that they have the best 'bratwurst' ever in the whole of Germany ..

Quite a good and interesting car, not that bad in terms of performance too. At least on straight tracks like Redrock Ridge it can outperform some fellow B-class racers like Kadett GSi or VW Passat.

Only thing I noticed is that combine version instruction was omitted in readme despite it still can be compiled using archive contents.
