Description

1979 Pontiac Trans Am (WS6)

by Jason G Trusty

Just unzip the file to a temporary location. Paste the 79ta folder in C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Need For Speed III\GameData\CarModel\place here.

To see the load screen you must place 43_00.qfs in C:Program Files\Electronic Arts\Need For Speed III\Fedata\Art\Slides\place here.

In your car menu you should find 1979 Pontiac Trans Am (WS6).

Car Registration Number 43_00 (Possible conflict if you are using other downloaded cars)

The 1979 Trans Am had an optional WS6 package that included 1" anti-sway bars, 13:1 close ratio steering box, 3.73 posi rear end, 4 wheel disc brakes, and could house 8.5" deep dish rims at all four spindles. I was lucky enough to purchase one in 1986. I rebuilt the car from the ground up. Enhancements included 8.5"x11.00" deep dish rims, 4.10 posi rear end, high performance 400 Pontiac engine balanced and blueprinted, ž" race cam, 10.5:1 compression semi-dome pistons, 30cc shaved heads and intake manifold, headers, 2 1/4" dual exhaust, 700R4 transmission w/ manual valve body and shift kit plus many more…

In 1995 the car was destroyed by a drunk driver while I was out of town. This project is an attempt to ressurrect my 70’s muscle machine so she may live again…

Therefore, attention to detail was a critical factor while designing this car…

The mesh is completely new, the performance has been completely redone to handle like the original (which it does), the interior dash is new, and the load screen is new and the audio is completely new (thanks to Pat Wisselo)…

I hope you enjoy driving her as much as I did when she was the real thing…

Sincerely,

Jason G Trusty

He is looking for '68 Camaro, original zip probably named "68camaro.zip" or "68cam.zip", respectively.
