Sorry... But I don´t get it. :hmm:

This DeTomaso Pantera was originally made by "Digital Thunder" for NFS3 in 1999. "Mannyiak" just converted it to NFS4... And then someone named "Marc-André St-Laurent" converted it back to NFS3? That doesn´t make any sense at all and I would prefer to have the original cars here instead of somehow stolen stuff.. :/

Here you can still find the original:

So I guess I will ask the administrator to change the author's name. Every time I upload a car, I check the readme file, and this is all I could find.

Yeah the link above is the original file which has a loading slide and fedata.fsh, even. Sadly, many modders back then only did fedata.eng, so I would recommend you to expand the fedata to all languages, for a more complete version of the mod that can run on every language.

    I confirm Cooya!

When I tried the pantera by Digital Thunder on NFS3 I decided to learn to modelise cars on NFS.

One of those Pantera's had a vidwall with "Jimi D" or something (Just to make it more complicated;))

It fits the history of the real Pantera, build in Italy by De Tomaso, while Ford made the engine and I believe  Mercury got it in the showrooms.

I am not a fan of just renaming the author back to "Digital Thunder" but keeping the file as a "converted conversion"... it just does't do the original car justice as it definitely lost quality because of bad normals and the watermark texture on the sun protection stripe of the windshield got missing...

I would upload the original car from the original homepage "http://www.digitalthunder.com/nfs-pantera/downloads.htm" instead.

@Butch: If THIS is the car that started it all for your modding carreer.. Don't you think it could deserve a remake?!? As an hommage to the original author with all the quality of a Butch-car? ;)

I would not mind a well made Pantera for NFS4. And this time it could be useful for the NFS4 upgrade system aswell as we could "need" all 4 evolution steps of the Pantera:

1- Original 1971/1973 Pantera... maybe with the ugly US bumper as ":OC"-option and some nice two-tone color options that make it an GTS

2- the almighty 80's GT5 with the riveted-on fibreglass wheelarches and the Countach rearwing as an ":OC"-part

3- the refined late80's GT5-S  with the smooth steel flared fenders

4- the "ugly" 90's Pantera 90Si to complement the original 90's car list of the vanilla game

Yeah, I think it's better to upload the proper version. I uploaded this, because this was the only one that I had, I didn't even know about Digital Thunder's website.

why not.  I've started a remake of the mangusta, and I've planned, after the Concept serie (bravo, boomerang, bertone jet and proxima), a little grouping target                    :pointright:308PanteraM1Jalpa928Bora.

I'd keep this one though because it looks different than the original car
