Description

1996 Porsche 911 GT1 Street version.

All credits belongs to the original author and the one who converted it to PU(I don't remember the name). Check out readme to know more details. I am re-uploading it here, it was originally published at nfscars.

This car replaces the '98 Porsche 911 GT1 Race version. Just copy the contents of \GameData\Carmodel\  to  NFS folder\GameData\CarModel.

Paintable but no trim packages, no driver, all lights work.

Try playing with 4-5 opponents maximum if you choose to race against same car otherwise the game may crash.

Performance is as good as the GT1-98. It has looks (headlights and taillights) like that of 993 generation Porsche 911 but the car was developed over a Porsche 962 chassis.

It's a nice one if you're 90s guy or familiar with FIA WEC history or Porsche enthusiast. Remember, it almost won 24 Hours of Le mans in 1996, so it's a no nonsense car!

I am having an updated .CAR file that will put this car as an opponent without replacement of the original '98 911 GT1 in future, so make sure to keep a backup of original files for I'll upload the mod later.

    It's a low poly car but I don't know why the game still has a tendency to crash when you try playing with 6-7 same car opponents.

    Ha, i do remember this car being posted twice back in NFSCars


    The zip contained nothing and it was infected. Everybody complained LOL

      Yeah, it was uploaded twice back in the late 2000s. It has some problems with its window textures as well.
