The first ever "mesh edited PU car. It's a Porsche 959 with a lengthened nose." Originally released on 16 Nov 2000.

      Nah, if I remember correctly, this car was mostly made to prove that it had now become possible to edit the 3d model of PU's cars and make them work in the game (until then, only texture and performance edits were possible).

      Your do remember correctly. Addict worked on a PU->NFSHS converter as well that made it possible to convert cars. Not sure that one was ever released publicly. A product of that was the first ever converted car, the Porsche 930 Turbo for NFSHS by your's truly.

      959 Longnose was an important proof of concept for a committed modding scene. Not easy to find but thankfully now hosted on NFSAddons.

      edit: looks like I remembered it wrong in that the 911 conversion was one the first, but not the first. cheers

    Kinda funny, we know flatnosed and ducktailed 911's or longtailed 917's . So why not a longnosed 959 (well I can give a lot of reasons tho)

    Is it really possible to edit PU meshes? I was really thinking of editing the Porsche 964, the most unreal looking 911 in the game.

      using scrap studio and ARP filter you can edit existing meshes, but you will run into problems..😅 you can try tho:)
