Dynamic Uphill Crash Fix & Crash Logger
Description
Very important: If you're already using a (for you) working ASI Loader, don't install version.dll as it's an ASI Loader library
This script has been written by artificial intelligence.
Special thanks to:
- TsTg for testing the plugin and letting me know that CodeBlocks exists (much better than Visual Studio)
- Jonath for initially finding the important adresses
- I don't want to thank, but Google Gemini has written this plugin and helped me what to do to make it 32bit compatible and all the necessary steps to get CodeBlocks working
I've created this plugin so that Jonath's UphillCrashFix is only active on necessary tracks and not on every single other track. This plugin checks for a DynamicUphillCrashFix.txt inside the specified track folder for example like "Hills","Park" or "Coastal". So you can have the fix active on tracks like Dolphin Coaster where the fix is very much needed and at the same time have it deactivated on all tracks where it's not needed. UphillCrashFix is a fix where on original game behaviour, cars crash an invisible wall when going uphill too fast or too steep. Not needed on original tracks, but mostly on modded tracks with heavily modified track shape.

Hello, pete9516
I also spent some time looking into this problem and trying to understand what actually causes the invisible wall.
It seems the issue is related to the surface normal and track boundary calculations on steep uphill sections.
I made an alternative fix that keeps all the collision sampling points and only removes the false height-based boundary condition.
I wrote a bit more about my findings here, including some graphs and a comparison with the existing UphillCrashFix:

And here's a short video showing the problem and the same replay after applying the fix:
