  I know the 914 had good handling and all, but it was in my opinion one of Porsche's least stylish designs.

  All a matter of taste.A $3500 deal with fuel injection and lot more.For the purist the 911 would be the way to go but also
  costing thousands more.And don't forget the 914 could also
  be bought with a 6 cylinder at 2 power levels and body kits
  and more.

  Yes, the only thing I don't like about it is its design.
  
  Sure it was a great car for the price, quite a bargain, and one that would be fun to have in NFS4. But I feel like it should be more a VW than a Porsche... it just doesn't look like a Porsche, and Porsches aren't exactly meant to be a bargain

  Like I said taste.Mid engine-fuel injection-rack and pinion-pop up headlights-more.My friend had a white one that drove nice.Don't
  like them oh well.

  Of course it's all about taste ;)
  But why should pop-up headlights be an advantage over "traditional" designs? They generate lift when switched on :P
