XJ220: Yup I sharpened it a bit..I wish my game looked like that but the last time I tried to get it to and even came remotely close to it my game wouldn't play, It would load and let you pick a track but that was it -_- So I had to go back to the standard 640X480 resolution.
XJ220:If you mean the thing from NFS IP lounge that had the new 3dlls or what ever they're called and has the thing to select the graphics driver you want, I use that..I have it set to DirectX7 highPoly cars patch.
Have you tried the other d3da.dll files as well? The "high-poly" part just indicates the source that specific dll came from - it doesn't really support more polies in-game.
Yes. I'm using the new d3da.dll files, Without them my game runs VERY slowly and it's also hard to steer..In fact before I found that thing that has all them I had stopped playing NFS HighStakes..Was even thinking of selling it..Now I'll never part with it^_^. I'm just waiting for someone to invent a patch now that'll let you replace all the game's default police/civilian cars with high poly ones. That will be a while though as it seems people have quit making fixes for this game and have moved on to HotPursuit 2 and Most Wanted but maybe someday someone will find a way to alter the game enough to allow all vehicles to be high poly.
Well I think your game experience would be enhanced a lot already if you could set the game to use a higher resolution. A real high-poly fix would of course be great, but I don't think there will ever be one.
Anyway, there are many different d3da patches available and I think you should really try to find one that will let you play the game in resolutions perhaps as high as 1600x1200 ;)
