Ah the St. Regis, This would be a great cop car if somebody like Nils would improove on it, There was some stuff misshaped on it, Taigo did a perfect one but it's too high poly for traffic cops.

Mr. Spain, what cars you personally use as traffic/AI-cops? How many polies for a traffic car you would recommend? :)
In traffic I have a lot of default cars in use, since they have the best quality/performance ratio imo.

For the 'new' HS tracks, I wouldn't go over 2000 polygons per traffic cop + around 3000 for the super cop.

The older HP tracks work with much more than that, e.g. Rocky Pass should work with something 5000 per SUV replacement.

ALSO... did you avoid the spike strip by jumping over it? O_o

Jumped straight over it. Dukes Of Hazzard style :)

@Will: the spike strip is from an effects pack (to replace smoke effects etc.) - PM me on that
The Sheriff in "Bandit" (Burt Reynolds) drove a '77 Ponitac LeMans. The front looks very similar to this Dodge, though.

@XJ220: Well, i don't have such good experience with police-replacements of that quality. I assume you tested this and it runs without crashes? So with this setup (2000p*4+3000p*1+2*traffic): what is the maximum possible polycount per racer, lets say, in a classic pursuit race with 2 racers?

    Greetings

    XJ220:

I have been able to run about 4000 something on certain new tracks and Europe (the latest cop car in my ColdWar mod,A Volga M24 I got is right at 4246 for the VoPo version, Others will be slightly more or even less than that depending on the cop light (lights or lightbar) setup on them. the picky ones is Kindiack Park &Rockypass those I believe you can't top 2000-3000 on traffic cops but I had no trouble on RedRock Ridge,Country Woods,EmpireCity,Atlantica, and HomeTown. Infact on my Atlantica to HongKong morph I used your Mitsubishi Lancer to replace the super cop :P.

I so want someone to make this car :). I gave it a good shot in ZModeler but couldn't finish building it..If you can find me a good base of the 1977 Pontiac Lemans I can certainly do the car. :).

@ MADMAN_nfs: Highly depends on the track, unfortunately. Landstrasse is _very_ sensitive in this regard. On Hometown and most if not all other HP tracks, you should still be able to chase two mid-poly racers. On Landstrasse, even Getaway mode may crash...
