  I know the deutsche volkspolizei Police from before. A powerful state apparatus in Germany. We used to have extreme respect for the police. A very well organized state apparatus, extremely well and cleverly thought out. You can't even imagine that anymore today.

    Yes, Also I find it unfair how on Unification they got demonized, There was bad in it but also some good, The ABV was a great concept and saved a lot of minor slights from going to court although it might have got annoying for the cop sometimes cause the post was ran outta his house 😂.

    I always got a kick outta seeing them salute everyone before dealing with them, perhaps overly polite Police..Gonna get a ticket, They came up, saluted..then it was down to business. (I think only China and Japan Police still do this) I don't recall his name now but a retired ABV told me once of how his village was so peaceful and low crime that instead of his Makarov he packed his Dinner sandwich into his holster each time going out on patrol 🤣.  I met a handful of Ossis on FaceBook, 1 that's a retired ABV on Ebay, and one on YouTube (but I think his account got deleted) I've never been to Germany or Europe but if I ever get enough money it's on my bucket list.

    Both are right, My DDR track was made by modding Bergstraße.
