  All you'all will be shocked to learn the Japanese Police really used the car, my edit is based off reality not fan fiction having Takumi as a cop although that would be a good Anime too, Well now I need to get and watch Initial D. I don't know if the cops chase them or not but they were doing illegal street racing and drifts.

    Initial D is one of the best Animes ever. But you have to watch it with the original voice actors thus translated subtitles

    I guess there is, but it's most authentic if you watch it with the original voice actors. It's the same with any anime. The only exception i'm doing is Ranma 1/2 which i've always watched as a little kid in german television. Since i've got so many memories to the german voice actors, i watch it on german, but the original japanese voice actors are at least as good as the german ones (for example)
