Nicely done, Zpectre :) I never saw this thread before and I just noticed all the cars you converted. Great job! I'll be off now, I have a few MW cars I need to test in NFS4 :P

Oh, and if you can, you should convert some cars from Carbon. :D

NFS3 or NFS4 sound request? PM me.

Lotec

That can be done? :eek3:

Max911

I don't think it can be done yet, but it shouldn't be too hard to crack. :)

Lotec

That would be awesome...i want an XK, CCX, Challenger Concept and Zonda F in NFS4 so much

I will. ;)

Yes, it's possible. ZModeler 2.0.9 has an NFSC import filter. I asked XenTek to send me some meshes in Z3D format. I could just download the game, but it takes a lot of time and the people here are afraid that, if I let the computer on overnight, its components would suffer heavy damage. I prefer not to argue with them to avoid conflict, but I know this is simply excessive care (nothing bad would happen, with the exception of my electric bill being more expensive).

I'd like to convert all of those, but first I'll concentrate on the old muscle cars and a few personal favourites (Charger SRT-8, Jaguar XK, Audi Le Mans Quattro).

Lotec

I would love to see the Audi in NFS4, sounds good

nuff said.

Zpectre

I'm posting a new picture with modified headlights:

Basically I changed the shape of that fringed part slightly and gave it the same alpha colour as the body. I did this since the texture was darkened after the resizing (it was originally a 256x256 texture but is now 64x64 in size) due to pixel condensation. If people say it's OK, I will release it tomorrow. The sound is ready (it's the same sound used by my police Corvettes, maybe a little louder for more grunt).

I wanted to work on the C6-R but decided it was time for a change of pace and extracted the DB9 mesh. After cleaning up all the mess done by ZModeler 2 in the extraction process (parts everywhere, gigantic side mirrors), I prepared the mesh for detaching and posterior mapping. Next will be the Carrera GT at last, that is, unless XenTek sends me the Jaguar XK first. :D

The track in the screenshot is Bergstrasse. It's worth downloading for the graphics, multiple routes and good amount of fog.

That looks really good-there are only a few good vettes out there, time for a really good one

If you could convert cars from Carbon to NFS4 and NFS3 it would be awesome!!!!  Make sure to include the 69 Camaro and The RX-8!!

Zpectre

Here's a list of what I'm quite positive I'll be converting next:

Alfa Romeo Brera
Audi Le Mans quattro
Audi TT 3.2 quattro
Chevrolet Camaro SS (1969)
Chevrolet Corvette C6-R
Chevrolet Corvette C6 Z06
Dodge Charger R/T (1969)
Dodge Charger SRT-8
Dodge Challenger Concept
Ford GT
Jaguar XK
Koenigsegg CCX
Lamborghini Murciélago LP640
Lotus Europa S
Mazda RX-7
Mercedes SL 65 AMG
Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 (if someone gets me the mesh from NFSU2 I'll be very much appreciated)
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII
Pagani Zonda F
Plymouth Hemi Cuda
Plymouth Road Runner
Porsche 997 Turbo
Porsche 997 GT3 RS
Porsche Carrera GT
Porsche Cayman S
Renault Clio V6
Shelby G.T.500 (2007)
Subaru Impreza WRX STi (yes, again; this time, with less polies and better textures from MW)
Toyota Supra
Volkswagen Golf R32

Cars I might convert:

Chevrolet Cobalt SS (to have US represented in B-Class)
Chrysler 300C SRT-8 (I love it but I love the Charger better)
Ford Mustang GT (Racer X's is good, but I'm picky and don't like having two 2007 Mustangs made/converted differently in my car list)
Lamborghini Murciélago (on request only)
Lotus Elise 111R (don't really like NFS6 conversions, since photorealistic textures look bad in NFS4)
Mercedes CLK 500 (not being an AMG hurts it)
Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-X (maybe on request, but slim chance)
Porsche 911 Carrera S (see Mustang GT's commentary, but replace Racer X with viktording)
Toyota MR2 (I'll have to see what it looks like first)

Cars I'm 100% sure I won't convert:

Audi A3 3.2 quattro (it's a damn civilian car)
Audi A4 3.2 quattro (see above)
Cadillac CTS (see above)
Chevrolet Camaro Concept (DanR would kill me)
Dodge Challenger R/T (Ground Shaker made an awesome one; I may convert it, however, since Jokinen's cars are no longer available)
Fiat Punto (the only way one could even think about putting it in NFS4 would be as a crappy traffic car)
Infiniti G35 (there is one converted from NFSU2 at NFSCars)
Lamborghini Gallardo (VSO's is good enough)
Lexus IS300 (it's crap)
Lotus Elise (the 111R will replace it)
Mazda RX-8 (I hate this car with a passion)
Mazdaspeed 3 (don't like it)
Mercedes SL 500 (pointless since I'm converting the SL 65 instead)
Mitsubishi Eclipse GT (a disgrace to the Eclipse name)
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR (EA screwed up and got the rear wrong)
Nissan 240SX (I like this car, but it's too slow for NFS4 IMO)
Nissan 350Z (plenty of good ones available already)
Nissan Skyline GT-R (see above)
Shelby G.T.500 (1967) (if anything, it's Victor's model that should have been put in NFSC)
Subaru Impreza WRX STi (2007) (the old one is more beautiful)
Toyota Corolla GTS (XenTek is making one)
Volkswagen Golf GTI (I'm converting the R32 instead, plus Freak-DS has converted one already)

I won't promise anything here, but if I had to hazard a guess, I'd say all the cars will be ready by the end of the year, right by the release of the next NFS, unless something comes up (job/university work/ESOL CPE exam/German classes/life in general). Actually, each car takes a day to convert if I work non-stop (I started the Corvette the same day I posted the pics and would have released it, had it not been for the headlights and the dummies), but it's not very often that I'm in good enough mood for the boring activity that is mapping a model.

Lastly, I alert you that my modeling skills are zero (well, maybe 2/10 after that HSV GTS I made...) and I do this merely as a hobby, so please don't ask me to do complex modifications on the meshes, since I may not be able to fulfill your requests.

bucksavage

Hell yeah include the Cobalt SS!!!  For a small car it packs a whallop!!

Cooya!

Yes!!! The Corvette looks great now! The headlight change is perfect as the rest!!!

...And You are working on the DB9 - finally a perfect conversion...

Now put the Lotus Elise 111R from the "might convert"- to the "convert"-List and I will love you forever ;)
The NFS6 version is very bad: the front is totally off... much too flat- looks like it kissed a wall

PS: impressive "to do" list - You will keep NFS4 alive for a long time - Thank you!

Roadstar

Thats nice Zpectre. Really awesome corvette. :bigthumb: Can you send me the stock meshes(in .z3d format) of Eclipse GSX, Skyline & Camaro concept & full version of Toyota MR2 from NFS Carbon? Please Zpectre I need them to be converted to NFS9. NFS9 supports 3d doorlines which the cars of Underground & Underground 2 do not feature. :(( So it doesn't look good without doorlines. I will definitely 100% give you credit. For Mitsubishi 3000GT, ask Krystoff. He will help. :D You can send 1 car each in one month no problem.
