CTB and LTB are Coast and Load Tables. Actual sounds are in banks, with BNK extension. Those tables control sample behavior like the AUD files in rFactor and similar games. It would be very nice to be able to manipulate those files, and I keep forgetting to ask at Xentax or ZenHAX about them, perhaps someone out there can write a simple decoder/encoder.

Contrary to popular belief, Jesper Juul-Mortensen (the developer of NFSWizard) wasn't able to uncover all of the mysteries surrounding Hot Pursuit and High Stakes files. He did get close and went as far as opening sound banks, but there are some unused things that NFS Wizard can't read, like how the official EA DLC cars only work when the folders are inside the SaveData folder. This causes some cars like Thomas Egelkraut's cars to malfunction when installed the usual way.

question folks .. is it (Nils' PBMW [PE39 v.2 'updated']) worth an upload even if it is a bit 'outdated' in post-VEG patch times? :P

I mean, just as a little appreciation for all of his great work during all those times maybe ..? :D

If so, I would prepare a little 'lowpoly' European Police package for an upload featuring another Ben Trapp based car -updated of course- his 'BMW 740i' in both a Racer/Pursuit version matching Nils' PBMW PE39 v.2 ... has serial #12 for 'Hills' and 'Germany' :)

@WiLL: here's current progress on reworking that Evo 4x4 based 'Mr. Plow Snowplow' Ford F-250 from AJ's traffic pack as you requested .. has at least :SNOW: dummies now so does its job quite well now also for your own driveway maybe huh .. ;)

Not much of a work on it yet today .. that snow blade had been wrong way so had to mirror it for proper function, also the z-axis (horizontal) angle of it was being too straight for it wouldn't have too much of an effect in real so I altered that more slantwise ..

That darn huge blade needed six(!) SNOW dummies for an acceptable 'at work' look .. :o

EA's default 'Snowplow' has quite realistic 'abrasive tracks' showing on its blade so I think I will adopt that to new texture .. :D

Now some mesh detail work will follow .. (I already added some rear facing beams and ODL for the frontal ones) .. like adding an interior and driver, blade fastening mechanism, rigid axles, making transparent windows and yet some normals rework ;)

Mr. Plow,.I mean Frank ;) I made them Rollbar lights yellow,.looking great on there now I get what you mean,by Rear beams  =D

yeah rear beams, lamps, candles, chandeliers whatever -LOL
.. those mud flaps appear a little small by default, think I will resize them to a bit larger also .. ;)

I think I will also only do a simplified interior like for example on Tõnis Taru's Aston Martin DB7, that's a clever solution IMHO and nevertheless very effective for a traffic car since you don't see much of it anyway when it passes you by shovelling those large heaps of snow in front of it ... -LOL

I admit wheels are my favourite task ... how do you like new ones, have also 3D hubs, brake discs and better tire textures now ^-^
rim textures are reworked from actual F-250 internet pics .. ;)

now continuing with some body reworks ... =D

.. same tires/wheels just remapped it but yes they're a bit highpoly ;) .. ok those additional 3D hubs increased polycount a bit .. truly you got me =D

But car is now still below 2.2k polies/356kB meshload at current state* :o

*current progress: I added frontal ODL to :HB and reworked the thin blade as I mentioned so I added some polies and further remapped it with some 'usage traces' ... ^-^

makes an impressive look already even without details still to be added? :)

Hey)  if your driving,  it with the Blade out can it get Snagged, on the Corners at all? An flip us, or stop us. Just a thought, just got back home bro Looking great!! Much.. did you get my email chats? I didn't send any goodies tho... just disappointed, much in my fix up project so it just take longer is all...(  so I'm not Wining about it.. to much but, I think it should work, an it doesn't them Blue Track poly's, Does Zpectre know at all?

If then can be passable at all. On "my beach area..?. an um,. How I get you?  :o  =D with the Topics name?
So I did notice I had to Rebuild the end of that parking Dock to get it passable even there.  Just not sure I will Continue on this, cause that long my Corner makes it too tight of lines to pass there.. who know.. but I need my Hobby anyway, to make it thru the week.. ::)  thanks Frank what about, any bars holding the Blade or lights in holders above the Blade like just 2- or none left now? For it. How the Axial parts go? Not Visible yet  8)

I think I said, so the wheels, are more inside more now, so you can't really see an Axial then? But is nicer now for sure... :-)

haven't added axles yet so cannot be seen -LOL .. but is next step for sure .. ;)

Blade is :OS part but that only seems to works on driver car not AI so I altered carp.txt back to 'spoiler function type' = 0 .. :-\

Wanted the blade to be lifted when car is stopped, would make nice realistic effect but oh well, good old HS doesn't play along :P

Sure would...if it could. Well hope Monday gets any better my way.. an not so Dramatic... here.. with my town I.mean, an phone call... boggle.. Well, I meant if I want my track more nicer..it's just going to Take Looonggeerr-' is all.. =D Ttul. Frank np.. Stress Sucks.(. so. :-X   ::)  I try not having it, that way... :}

rather simple undercarriage added to :OC part now ... ODL markers expanded around the edges according to pics of real car ... :D

.. and some warning pennants added to the blade .. :)

Nicer...! Frank sure noticed the, Axials,.great... :)  an the Blade improvements, I got make the Call now... an try not getting upset.. at the Blood suckers on me.. so can you paint over Mr.Plow maybe add..? NFS plow Inc? ;)  8)
