Question about Outrun upgrades in Underground 2

Hey peeps,
I'm a bit of a newb here but I'd like to ask a question. If it's been asked before tell me to STFU and point me in the proper direction to get my answer, if you would.

When it comes to the Outrun upgrades can you win the Outruns, not get the upgrades and leave them until you get your final car (usually a Skyline for me) so you can max it out in every way possible?

You have to win the upgrades in the car you want the upgrades on. Example, you want unique NOS on your Skyline, you have to win the unique NOS driving the Skyline.

but can you win ALL the upgrades for one car? like wait, run all the outruns in a row and win all the uniques back to back when you get the skyline?

so... in the nfsu2 career mode... you can complete a certain number of outruns to unlock a unique car part on a specific stage... you're asking if you will be able to install those unique parts on a car that you didn't use to win outruns for the upgrade...

um... i'm not sure about that... haven't finished the nfsu2 career nor will i finish it due to homework... hopefully someone else can be of more help to you

I'm not sure because I don't remember the game very well, but I think that I add all my upgrades to the same car in two occasions, first to the 206 and second to the Acura.

You can, but you have to win them in the car you want the custom parts on. Example, you want unique NOS on your Skyline, you have to win the unique NOS driving the Skyline, you can't do it driving your RSX, otherwise you'll unlock the unique NOS for the RSX only.

Okay but if i decided NOT to run all the outruns until I got the Skyline I could get all the outrun upgrades for that one car by running all the outruns with it or would I get stage specific upgrades?

if you can avoid and do all outruns with your skyline, you will be able to put all your uniques on it.

you cant stockpile them until you get your skyline, they are to be used when won.

but the unique upgrade outruns correspond to a specific stage with a specific number of outruns... so i don't think it's possible to fully unique-ize... your skyline... at least i couldn't.

You can put unlimited no of outruns to your car. You just have to play the outrun races with the Skyline in order to have them for skyline.
