NFS5 PU issues

Lately I've been having issues with NFS5.  I load the game, but when the menu comes up once the Porsche splash screen finishes the menus and everything seem, to run at half speed.  ANyone got any ideas how to fix this, or reasons for it?  

My specs, in case anyone asks:
p4 1.4ghz
768megs ram
128mb Nvidia GeForce 4 Ti 4200

As per your specs, it should run fine. Try to lower graphic settings of the game & also resolution & it should work.

Yeah is true what umm, Rs says Also i have another Idea
That Helped me out in These game, In Audio Tab.
Inside of Direct X9.0c In your Windows32 Folder look
For that DX.exe and make shortcut to that then you can allways get
to her. Put your Sounds Tabs on No Ecelleraion at all if
You have no SOund in game then,Put Back on "Basic Excelleration" Then
This should help your Frame rate PaL alot and still give you Good sound.
So your Not online at all are you when playing i never was.
Keep screen savors off and any other Programs Except maybe Fraps

Well i Ment Inside C /windows/Folder/ DierectX.exe then make a short cut on Desktop
I dont have a APG Grafics Card mines a PCI Express SLot So i dissabled my APG on my Pc and my Games work better. Just saying. So lmk if that helped at all ok Buck.? np

I tried that Will; all I had to do was go to my start menu, and choose run, then I typed dxdiag into the box and it ran the directx thing....tried doing that trick, no results one way or the other.  In fact with no acceleration at all the game crashed before it even got to the Porsche Unleashed splash screen.  I had a similar issue with NFS4 when I installed Geminiyo's nfs4 mod, but it ran like clockwork under win98.  Any other ideas?

Hi Buck try this it might help - right click mouse over NFS icon which will bring up compatibility mode - pick windows 98 then apply.This worked on my older computer.Doesn't work put it back.Good Luck.

I see Hmm? :/ I was Talking about the Sound Tab is all also.
Thats why i dont Play NFS`5 np

@Will: it was the sound tab in DirectX I was talking about.  It didn't make any difference in game function.  

@Blazn:  It is running in Win98 compatibility mode.  Same issue.

Which Windows do you use?

I am having the same problem as you right now for my NFS4. NFS4 runs at moderate speed at moderate graphics whereas NFS6 & others upto NFS9 run fast even on full gfx settings. I am using Windows XP. I have nVIDIA 6600 GT & 2GB RAM.

Yeah, deleted it and gave up - there aren't drivers for nVidia GeForce 6150LE for Win98SE or anything, so That's That
