Yes since that last post I got around to getting them installed. They are as advertised and they made it into my game with no issue.

Addon Requests / Looking For: Official EA DLC Cars and Patches for High Stakes
Jan 07, 2025, 7:28 PM
I've done some browsing around and its not outside the realm of possibility that I'm just blind, but I'm coming up empty handed when looking to find the original NFS:HS cars released as DLC by Electronic Arts. I'd really like to get those downloaded if anyone happens to know where I can come across them.
Thanks.
::EDIT::
Well I kept looking and as is tradition I found the thing I was looking for right after I made a post asking for help about it. I haven't actually opened these archives yet but I'm taking at face value that these are the goods. I finally stumbled across them thanks to Reddit.

Awesome! Just did a few for NFSF1McLaren's F1 GTR. The feature seemed to work from this end.
Super cool, man. Thank you.

Help/F.A.Q / Re: 21:9 support with VEG's Modern Patch (NFSHS)

I sent the link via PM.
I PM'd you a couple of patched copies of this executable back to you. Not sure if you got them, the PM system here isn't wild about showing me my sent messages.
At any rate, I've been using this myself patched for 21:9 and it's working great! Doesn't perform as well as VEG's modern patch of course, but I can throw any models I want at the game and while I will get some frame drops it never seems to dip lower than 30ish frames... once I race up to the head of the pack I hit over 60 again. LOL. Plus I can actually use the resolution of my monitor. So to me, that's worth the trade-off.
Thanks.

Ah, great glad to see this was already in the works!
I'd also point out that my suggestion was for additional pictures as well not the removal of existing ones. Higher resolution options being the main focus. The images being small is only really part of the problem (as I see it). So you have a lot of images that are low resolution, plus they are very compressed (bad artifacts, color is off, etc). On top of that, the models are showcased in various levels of quality often on underpowered machines from the era. Then some still have various levels of paintbrush skills applied to the previews. By the time it's all said and done it's like I'm trying to read something while wearing another person's prescription glasses. Bit of a struggle.
They're a product of their time, I get it, I was right there too... but also, it is a bit annoying to have to download something just to see whether or not it's worth downloading.
So it's not so much the images are "small" (and again some are better/worse than others). It's that regardless of what the zoom function does for them, they're just not very useful for making a value judgment.
I suggested the ability for the community at large to submit shots because there is a large database of files here. I'm sure adding new previews must be a large undertaking. So thanks for that I'm sure it'll be appreciated.

Browsing through some of the older cars for NFS 3&4 I'm noticing some of the submissions are a little lacking in legible images. They're either super small or jpeg compressed several times over (or both). It'd be great if the community could submit newer screen shots to existing content. I'm currently combing through these sections anyway and I'd be happy to contribute.

Do you have a link to the patch you are talking about? I'd take a look at it.
To be clear though, I'm not the originator of anything here. I just followed the video I linked to in my original post. The hex editing bit you are referring to is just for fixing the FOV and I believe that was cooked up by the YouTuber I linked to (AuToMaNiAk005).
The Aspect Ratio mod is by Felix Krull https://gitlab.com/fkrull/porsche-graphics-hacks/-/releases
Then I grabbed the nGlide 2.00 package that was bundled with JimDiablo's NFS stock pack files here https://www.nfsaddons.com/forums//index.php?topic=1691.0
I can try to apply these methods to other patches, but as the video shows its pretty dependent on the game continuing to make use of the dll files from Felix Krull's mod. That's what is doing most of the heavy lifting in terms of getting proper widescreen aspect ratios.

Help/F.A.Q / 21:9 support with VEG's Modern Patch (NFSHS)
Oct 30, 2022, 6:27 PM
So I've got NFS HS working with 21:9 support... but not with VEG's Modern Patch. I'm using the methodology from this video coupled with my original game files.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2zQ_5QX6FM
So this is mainly down to using nglide with some patched dll files. I don't believe VEG's Modern Patch lets the game make use of those dll's.

So the 21:9 is amazing. The downside as you might expect is I can't use many high poly vehicles. There doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason to it either. I can load a full grid of the Bonus Camaro Z/28 mod that AJ_Lethal did, but I can't do the same for AJ's Bonus Porsche 911. Maybe its down the amount of polygon's but those two models have pretty similar fidelity.
Anyway, I'm getting side tracked.
If anyone knows a way to do what I've worked out here with VEG's modern patch, please give me a clue. I can't go back to 4:3...
