Description

This car replaces BMW M3 GTR (E46) (BMWM3GTRE46)

Please read the installation carefully or you will mess it up.

(Update 1.3= Textures update - NFS Heat Headlights/Backlights, Black Interior, LRF Modding's edit to the plate)

The request for uploading this car was from RzrDrake and here it is! The M3 in its legendary edition.

[!] :fire: Comes with an XBOX / Forza / Hoonigan license plate :fire: [!]

This car was mainly the fully customizable M3. (except performance excluding Junkman) If you can not see full customization options, I recommend downloading nlgzrgn's Extra Options v8

The sound used to be broken, so I repaired it.

INSTALLATION / READ CAREFULLY: (You can make backups if you want)

-Extract the files anywhere

-Copy SOUND to you game folder

-Copy / move BMWM3GTRE46 to your CARS folder

-Open TexEd 0.9.1 (if you do not have, download) and go to GLOBAL folder > GLOBALB.BUN and GlobalB.lzc and replace the license plate in both archives. (ID of texture: 38)

Open VltEd (if you do not have, download), choose your game folder (I recommend make backup) and import my modscript given in the download.

-Run the game and follow the vinyl pictures above to make the right color (Stripe 1)

YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO UPLOAD ANYWHERE ELSE. (No permissions)

Hope you enjoy this mod.

345 HP 4.0L V8 engine. The engine used for BMW M3 GTR in NFS Heat. But the real engine for M3 GTR IRL is P60B40

Heat made it correctly, P60B40 is a 4.0L V8, power might differ, if im not wrong power difference comes from the fact thats probably M3 GTR Street legal version.

But whenever i go to NFS Heat video that is about the BMW M3 GTR, some people think that is not the M3 GTR sound. This got me laughing, cuz in MW 2005 the BMW uses TVR Cerbera's engine. The gear while can only be heard inside. Not outside of the car. My guess Heat gets it correctly, but most people still argues about the engine sound .

At least that's what i know, i could be wrong, but.. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Well its not exactly Cerbera's sound, its basically Cerbera mixed with I6 form stock M3.

I noticed the TVR Cerbera looked like an old viper and the sound is 99% like a maxxed Corvette Z06 in NFS Carbon.

Use NFS VLT-Ed. Just open your vlt-ed, click main->open. Navigate to your NFS MW folder. On the list on the left, navigate to engineaudio -> default. Since the ".gin" file was named after TVR Cerbera, look for "tvr_cerb". Double click it, and see on the right. Find the node "tranny" and double click it to change it from True to False. After that, save the changes by clicking main -> save

Done. You wont hear the gear whine sound anymore

I tried that but the game crashes right after I open it. I had to click restore backups to get the game working again.

pretty sure you could just make a duplicate of tvr_cerb and name it bmw_m3_gtr or something

then you can change tranny to false

then you can go to vehicle and change engineaudio in bmwm3gtre46 to the name you made

This way, if something goes wrong and your game crashes, you could just change engineaudio back to tvr_cerb, and have fun tweaking your own GTR sound...

Oh, idk then. It's just my suggestion, why don't try to put the actual engine sound from heat. It's the 345 HP 4.0L V8. Idk if you can, but just a suggestion

Also, because more & more mods got uploaded, your mod will be at the bottom list. Well not really at the bottom, but as more & more mods got uploaded, new mods willbe placed at the top of the previously uploaded, so.. yeh

Good times, also I forgot to remove the blue sky in that mod, and I am not sure whoever downloaded it did not think it was from the website pictures, probably because I used a CAMERAS file in my addons folder. :/

How was it? Also my NFS15 EVENING mod could be 5x better. Gonna upload it soon once I confirm it, I found some time zones having too much blue light it would look like a cartoon's daytime. :laughcry: It's quite funny people who make drift attributes make the car super slow and wonky to control. That's what I am also focusing on. Tell you what, if you decrease the dynamic grip of an AWD car LESS THAN 1 on both sides, or make any side more grip but LESS THAN 1, the drift will become cinematic. I might explore that feature for RWDs. We'll see. PS I usually make the front more grip so it acts like I am braking.

This double chat bug also annoys me when I actually pressed Submit twice thinking I did not press it or confuse it with bad wifi signals. Also, XD

I hereby confirm that VltEd is evil itself. I was tweaking an M3 GTR sound in a copy of my game, but the game crashes once I start it, and guess what happened after I set the stats back? The game was forever broken. So I deleted it. Also my current game is over 3.6 GB under 3.9.

Still working on the evening mod, the brightness cant be fixed and I have other stuff 2 do.
