NFS IV AddonTrack

Atlantica ReVisited 2.0

Original track: https://www.nfsaddons.com/downloads/nfshs/tracks/7949/atlantica-revisited.html

Original Readme: included

A year ago JimDiabolo created and posted his awesome Atlantica Revisited track. I was greatly inspired by his work and saw great potential in it. This basically continues my neon experiments and is roughly a texture combination of my Atlantic Underground and Neon Harbor tracks.

My list of additions:

- New lights

- Modified horizon

- Some new modern buildings

- Some new textures

- Two illuminated ships

- Modern atmosphere

- Two sets of Neptune Tunnel interpretations

- Now the action takes place in the evening/at night.

All the rest remained unchanged.

Credits:

- JimDiabolo for the original track mesh, textures, camera angles, everything

- Pete9516 as he always helps me with friendly advice

- EA

Installation: put the Atlantic folder into your Data/Tracks and overwrite the existing files

In terms of color, it's a very big difference. Fits best with the night version. But isn't it a bit too dark there? If I didn't know the track so well, I would have serious problems.

You might be right. I will check the original night version to make it brighter

Here ya go, but i didn't change much on the lighting. Looks beautiful in my opinion. I mean i could lighten it up really bad but then the blue tunnel section would just have plain grey roads. Maybe you can just alter the ambient values a bit and it should be alright

Wow Herr Peter, that looks like a cool edit, I really like that rosy shade ova tho finish line on the above structures, and looks like the visibility is betta... But did it become brighter? I can't say. Personally I'm OK with the night as it is, as long as I don't wreck my headlights.

No that's what i meant. I didn't make it brighter. Because i think it looks really good the way it is. Actually, i'd like to raytrace the whole track, but then the underwater tunnel section's road becomes just dark..

I've just noticed that the raytracing i put at the starting line doesn't look good at all.. Somehow i've mixed some things up.. The AI might be better, i've just recalculated the Polygon Virtual Roads and fixed some polygon flags

I've updated the archive. Now the RGB transitions at the start are smoother than before. Before, it looked really ugly. Still, the track is bright enough for me but i can include a brighter version later

Heyaaa, looks like this one is smootha. I really like them shades. Bots are now not trying to push me into the pits haha. P.S. What about puttin' yo mighty handz on Viva Roma track by nfsfan. It's cool, but bots crash into buildings and some glitches are there too... when you have time, of course. Or maybe Paris track (same problemz on it).

Yeah i have those tracks in mind. Right now i'm trying to find a solution for the EP5 Miami where all the objects don't have collision but it's hard to fix. I also like that Rome track. It's based on Empire City i think

Yep, judging by tho shape it is! There are collision bugs next to the Colosseum, also u can drive 4ru many objects, but the track itself is very beautiful 👍
