Need for Speed: High Stakes - Ukrainian Translation & Dubbing mod
Made by: TSF Ukraine
This mod will fully translate your NFS: High Stakes from English into Ukrainian. It features both text and audio translation - the entire game has been fully voiced in Ukrainian by a team of professional voice actors. Every piece of text, sound and UI was fully rendered in Ukrainian, with localized original fonts that now support the full UA set of Cyrillic characters.
The announcer and all of the cops / choppers / dispatchers speak Ukrainian, too - with an audible difference between various cops depending on what track you choose to play on (ie, NFS III cops have distinct voices, UK cops have their own voices and accents, and the US cops have their unique voice lines, too!). This incredible technical feat has been achieved thanks to the incredible united effort of the "Classic Need for Speed" Discord community: AJ_Lethal, bug, TsTg, rata536 and others.
Installation:
1. Make a back-up copy of your game folder (in case you want to go back to English at some point)
2. Unzip the archive
3. Read the "Read me" PDF-file in the "Docs" folder in the language of your choosing (English, Spanish, Polish or Ukrainian)
4. Copy the "data" folder to your Need for Speed: High Stakes folder, replacing the original "data" folder and all of the files in it
5. Play the game!
WARNING:
This mod was made with either VEG's modern patch, or with the High Poly Patch in mind! Without one of these, your game will simply crash due to memory issues, as the new sound files are much bigger in size than their original counterparts. Thus, a patch that fixes the memory limitations is required to make this mod work as intended.
If you are using VEG's modern patch, please go into nfs4.ini, and ensure OwnHeapLimitMb is set to 512, like this:
OwnHeapLimitMb=512
Note: for the mod to work, your game's language must be set to "English".

Yes... yes we did. Had to spend most of the Christmas vacations digging in, and all together we managed to crack it all. The process is not a pretty one, and it's all manual and takes ages, but hey... it works. If you're curious about how it's done, there are instructions on the classic NFS discord now!

I just wonder, what need translate in racing game :) serious in adventure game ok , in rpg ok but in racing game? menu, start, exit
