  i dont know if this happens on anyone elses game but when i use this the hood dissapears and reappears in the game

  That's strange... maybe you're running the game in Software mode? (check the 3D Device setup).

  no i am running it in 3d mode
  on a brand new computer
  could it be cause of the xp problem

  Do you have Z buffering on? (see the Graphics Options in the game)
