Description

Another 100% effort, perfect BMW M5. The only car comparable to this one is Driven_Out's Dinan M5 Tuned. This one has a new dash, full textures, precision headlights, and awesome performance. You will keep this for a long long time. 3d Quad Exhaust pipes, and precision detailed Rims and tires. ( Note: do not look at this car in the "Player Car" preview screen. It has over 11,000 Polygons and will kick you out of the game - RaM ran out of Ran error message.) Can't get the serial number, no programs work on WindowsXP ( nfswiz or vivwiz )

I was fine if it had less polys 'cause I like to admire good cars on the menu (oh! and I know about the "menu skins" avaliable, I just don't really like any of them). This is the main reason I'm not downloading your car. (but... who cares, right?)

There's a simpler solution for using cars that otherwise would crash in the showroom, and that goes as follows:

Open car1.mnu in "your nfshs folder"/Data/Menus (with wordpad)
Search for reflection and set it to 0.

That's all. :) It's having to draw all those polys twice in the mirroring showroom floor that makes the game crash. But this way, you remove those reflections (I don't miss 'em anyway) . Thanks to RunR for this tip.
And kudos to Manutius for making the M5 cool again in NFS4.

BTW, the serial number is 6.
There is a way for using NFSWIzard under Windows Xp, it's explained in detail in this thread:

The Serial Number Editor (SNE) and NFSManager haven't given me any problems yet, under XP.

Sorry, Jeff, what are you referring to?
NFSWizard & Xp, or the 'RaM ran out of Ram' Error?

Did you try the .reg and .bat files like they are described by Acidfunk in the thread I mentioned above?
After I use the Batch file to start NFswizard, I too got a halt message, but after clicking OK I was able to continue anyway.
Maybe it's easier to dicuss this in detail in the Forum itself, do you have an account? We have a little more room there. ;-)

cpn - make sure you have minimal cars installed with this one. i raced this car, in HP mode, against EA's M5, and it worked fine, when i saw the replay, I was EAs M5 against EA's M5...i'd keep very little cars in while this is in, or edit the S/N

This is one of the best BMW's out there!! I love all the polys. It looks great! All the great car authors should get all their cars together and make a mod. Like replacing all the default cars with better ones made by them! That would be the best. And there could be all new traffic too! Even though I don't make cars I might get permission to use ppls cars for a mod?? hmmmmmm

Unfortunately that happens with most high-poly cars... Pursuit mode in NFS4 is just sensitive in that area.

I know this is a really late comment, however I must praise MANUTIUS for the excellent work back in the day. This car is among my favourites ever for NFS4, and, even although it is a 4-years old model, its quality is compareable to some of the best NFS4 cars, which are much more recent than this. Also, the E39 is a car which has a special place in my heart, due to the perfect combination of elegance, power and simpleness. I can say that this particular addon made me admire the M5 even more.
