Description

This track is Acquarius City, a substantial modification of the Aquatica route, which has a city with many buildings, a steep cliff, an underground cave and a wild beach.

To install it put "trk006" folder that you find in the downloaded Zip file into "C:/Program Files/Electronic Arts/Nfs3/Nfs3/Gamedata/Tracks" and replace the existing one.

A slide is also available named "t6_00.qfs", that will appear on the screen before every race, when the player car you are using does not have one, to insert in the path "C:/Program Files/Electronic Arts/Nfs3/Nfs3/Fedata/Art/Slides".

I have a question for you, how did you convert NFS4 track to NFS3? Is it possible to do the reverse? I was thinking of completing NFS3 Expansion Pack and add new tracks for NFS4.

ExoticLover: It depends, if they are texture changes of tracks that are present both in NFS4 and in NFS3 (Hometown, Redrock Ridge, Atlantica, Rocky Pass, Country Woods, Lost Canyons, Aquatica, Summit, Empire City) then they can be converted, even if new roads and shortcuts cannot be added to NFS3. See for example my tracks La Fila, Tarbaca, Dead Man's Run and Country Summer, these are tracks made by other authors for NFS4, on which I have changed the textures and the polygon flags, taking however as already established bases for both versions of Need for Speed: for La Fila the base is Hometown, for Tarbaca and Dead Man'Run the base is Rocky Pass and for Country Summer the base is Country Woods. If then they are tracks that are present only in NFS4 as Celtic Ruins, Kindiak Park or Snowy Ridge, those cannot be converted to NFS3 as we would have to completely change the entire mesh of the track, I have already tried it myself and the result was very bad. If instead you want to convert tracks modified from NFS3 to NFS4 that is always possible. If you plan to convert my tracks, however, first send me sceenshots of the tracks you converted to NFS4 and then I will evaluate if you can upload them to websites.

Do you have any sample of bad result? The last time I attempted to convert NFS4 track to NFS3, it was with a hex editor, and I only changed a few line of code, and a person had tested it. That person told me that he was able to get into the track, but however it crash shortly after. I'm not sure if you gotten further than that.

ExoticLover: I had instead taken an original NFS3 track on which I pasted the individual blocks copied from an NFS4 track using the T3ED program, the result was very bad because the blocks were not positioned correctly, moreover the track I had not even tested in the game but it would have definitely crashed.

I like the textures, but should it really be that hard to drive a lap ?

JimDiabolo: The difficulty of this track is in the parts of the cliff, of the underground cave and of the wild beach, where you often turn upside down but it is not very difficult to finish the races in the first position as even the opponents often overturn themselves.

It's way too hard to finish anywhere but in last place. Even on Normal difficulty. I deleted it.
