Features

New performance, new mesh (100%), new dash, new loading slide, realistic fedata.

Its mesh is completely made with CARCad.

Special thanks EA for making the game, and Thomas Egelkraut for using some of his great Mercedes Gullwing attributes. I also want to thank Thomas for using his dashboard as a base for mine!

Used editors - VIV Wizard v0.8 by Jesper Juul-Mortensen

- NFSIII Car CAD v1.4b by Chris Barnard

- FCE Finish v2.0 by Klaus Heyne

- PaintShop Pro 5J

Installation

1. Go to the main NFS folder (The one wich includes NFS3.EXE).

2. Go to the subfolder called GameData\CarModel.

3. In there, make a new folder called 'Slr3'.

4. Put the included files from this ZIP-file in there.

5. Play NFS III and have fun!

Slide

This car comes with a slide, but it's not necessary to install it.

Also, you can only install the slide if you have the full installation

of NFS. For the ones who don't know what a slide is, it's

the picture of the car you'll get when you load a race. Here's how toinstall:

1. Go to the main NFS folder (The one wich includes NFS3.EXE).

2. Go to the subfolder called FeData\Art\Slides.

3. Put the 20_00.QFS from this ZIP-file in there.

4. Play NFS III and have fun!

If the slide doesn't work, it might be because you installed the minimum version of NFS, which means the data is loaded from the CD instead of from your hard disk.

Thank you sooo much for uploading this beauty!

This is one of the few masterpieces made solely for NFS3 and never found it's way to NFS4... although it was made in 2002 whe NFS4-modding was already on it's peak. This car has more than a NFS3 car of this time features like transparent glass with a visible driver and is completely on par with the masterpieces made by Thomas Egelkraut. I made a quick conversion to NFS4 some years ago for my personal pleasure because it fits brilliantly in the range of 50's sportscars made by Reight and Butch.

Maybe someone who is more talented than me should convert it to NFS4 with proper driver movements, changing colors for exterior and interior and maybe the large exhaust silencer of the second real car (with blue interior) as a convertible option... ;)

You're welcome! I've been uploading all the top quality stuff for NFS3 and 4 since 2021. I also update some conversions that I've done between 2005-2007 and upload them here (everything was available on NFSCARS at the time)

Very close to what I feel for this car. I also converted it to nfs4, I don't care so much for more colors (silberpfeil era!!!) and driver movements. Real great to see these cars showing up.

Are you guys capable of doing a proper damage model? I know how to move vertices, but i've always wondered how people create their own custom damage

I had a chance to see this car in real life at Goodwood Festival Of Speed in 2014
